Sometimes you simply want recordings of a loved one’s voice, but life feels too complicated to make it happen and your family’s stories are scattered in different places. Video removes the nagging obligation of a written assignment and ensures elders feel truly heard. It also creates something for grandchildren to treasure. In some cases, it may be the only way to capture stories before you run out of time.

How long does a typical project take from concept to delivery?
Most projects are completed within four weeks.
Are these in person or virtual interviews and how much time will it take?
Either. Our preference is in person (NY/NJ). We come to you for the interview which takes 45 mins-1hr. Set up and break-down take an additional half an hr. Virtual interviews take 45 mins-1hr using an app that require the subject to click on it.
Yes, this is encouraged! Can be sent prior to interview, shown at interview, or received within week of filming.
Can photos be included?

What if we have no experience being interviewed?
We provide detailed guidelines of preferred background and clothing tips before hand.

Bio
Nicky Lazar is a documentary producer of 25+ years based in the US. She’s produced documentaries that have aired on National Geographic, PBS, HBO, and theatrically. She brings a love of story-telling and empathy to this process.
Why do this
